Flag Football
We’ll teach you how to kick, catch and pass like a pro in no time! From first timers, all the way to established veterans, we’re ready to help you on your way to superstardom. Classes will be held once a week and end with a scrimmage, so the players get a solid set of skills as well as the excitement of in-game action. So, come score some touchdowns with 5 Star Sports!

T-ball League
It’s time to take your game up a level! Come out and play some serious T-Ball with 5 Star Sports and the Barrington Park District! Each team will be coached by 5 Star Sports’s coaches, so every practice will have its own lesson. The teams will all play each other, and then there will be a playoff system determined by the number of teams in the league. The 5 – 7 year olds will also get the chance to face live pitching! With three-inning games and eight-player teams, the games won’t take too long, and with trophies and jerseys, everyone will leave with a souvenir and a smile. So, if you’re ready to play ball, step up to the plate and hit a home run in Barrington’s finest T-Ball League!

T-ball
Pick up a bat, put on a glove, and get out to the baseball diamond with 5 Star Sports! Our T-Ball classes teach the fundamentals in a fun and interactive way with the kids. In this program, your little one will learn to hit, throw, field, and run the bases like a pro! Bats are provided, so we only ask that you bring your own glove. Our coaches engage the kids and work to make sure every participant is involved and learning.

Baseball Hitting Clinic
Hitting is arguably the best part about baseball. With our new hitting clinic, your kids will be able to work alongside some of the best coaches to master the fundamentals of hitting. Each participant will receive a large number of repetitions both off a tee and with live pitching. We will also teach and practice many small ball plays such as bunting and base running skills.

Golf
The Links Golf class is sure to be a hit with your young golfer. This class is great for golfers that are just learning the sport, as well as those that have some basic knowledge of the game. Instruction on swing basics and short-game fundamentals, as well as etiquette on how to play the sport will be taught. Swing on by and try out Links Golf.

Nerf Battle
We will transform the gym into an arena for the kids to battle and play fun, competitive games. Each week we will have skill challenges where the kids will get to practice and compete in different aspects of NERF action, then we will have an all-out battle to wrap up each week. NERF has many benefits including teamwork, exercise, disciplined fun and learning to balance competition with good sportsmanship. Each child MUST have eye protection to participate. All equipment will be provided, but participants may bring their own NERF blasters to use.

Soccer
Every child should experience the world’s most popular game in a way that will put the “fun” in fundamental. All the necessary skills will be covered that will enhance their confidence and prepare them for future play. Dribbling, passing, shooting and teamwork will be priorities during every class. Shin guards are optional.

Basketball
Junior size basketballs and age-appropriate hoops make this program the perfect introductory class for kids looking to play the game of basketball. By practicing simple drills, the instructor will help kids become familiar with passing, dribbling and shooting. Team play, sportsmanship and fun will be stressed. Play basketball the fun and exciting way, the 5 Star Sports way!

Wee Links

Parent & Me Sports
This sports class is all about having fun with the ones you love! We will play a variety of your favorite games each session including soccer, basketball, t-ball and others! We also will dip into some of the lesser known sports and backyard games like kickball, corn hole, disc golf and others. No matter what the activity, this class is sure to be a blast for you and your young one!

Pickleball (Beginner + Advanced)
(Beginner) This class is for those who have never played Pickleball before or who have very limited experience with the sport. It will focus on Pickleball basics such as forehand and backhand shots, serving and court positioning. Players will also learn scoring and rules of the game through drills and playing time. The slower pace of this class will give players the opportunity to develop the skills needed to play this fun and energetic game. Please bring your own paddle, water bottle and facemask/face covering. Paddles may be rented from the BPD – $2 per class.

(Advanced) This class is for advancing beginners who have some experience and want to move at a faster pace to improve their basic shots and strategies. Players will participate in challenging drills to work on consistency in forehand and backhand shots, serving, volleying, dinks and lobs. Through matches played each week, players will get the chance to take their game to the next level by learning how to play smarter, not harder. Please bring your own paddle, water bottle and facemask/face covering. Paddles may be rented from the BPD – $2 per class.
